Is it possible to have multiple applications in a DAAD scholarship?

It is possible to make up to three applications. When applying to multiple courses, it is beneficial to rank the courses in order of priority in the DAAD application forms (see Section 7: The selection of a host university/institution in Germany). Documents needed to apply to the DAAD Scholarship 2026

NOTE: If you are applying to more than one postgraduate course (a maximum of 3 courses), you will be required to submit one motivation letter stating why you are using to these particular courses and why you have made that choice.

  • Letter of recommendation by your present employer; the letter is to be on letterhead and signed with a seal and stamp, as well as be up to date (not in an enclosed envelope)
  • Employer certificate(s) of employment that show two or more years of relevant working experience (after the bachelor’s) as at the time of application, and a possible re-employment in your current employer when you get back home.
